The Brady Hessbrook Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Wayne State student who is pursuing their education in a mental health field while excelling in athletics and leadership.

This year's recipient of the $4,000 scholarship is Nevaeh Branson, a senior on Wayne State University's Women's Track & Field team majoring in Psychology. Nevaeh exemplifies the values and purpose of the B#4 scholarship through both her academic pursuits and her commitment to supporting the mental health and well-being of her fellow student-athletes.

Beyond her work in the classroom, Nevaeh serves as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Mental Health Committee Chair, where she has been instrumental in leading mental health initiatives and fostering awareness across our athletic department. Her leadership, compassion, and dedication to serving others made her an outstanding choice for this year's award.

Nevaeh is also a two-time recipient of the NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement Award, has earned GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team honors, and is an active member of SAAC, demonstrating excellence both academically and as a member of the Warrior community.
